How It Works
Getting the right support should not feel overwhelming. PointRN is designed to meet you where you are and give you guidance that is thoughtful, personal, and tailored to you situation. We help patients and families make sense of appointments, diagnoses, lab work, medications, discharge instructions, nutrition concerns, and next steps. Every plan is built around your needs. Nothing is generic and nothing is auto-generated.
What You Get At Each Stage
Most people arrive mid-problem, not at a tidy starting point — a diagnosis nobody explained, a rushed discharge, a parent who is not managing at home. The first thing we do is slow it down and work out what is really being asked.
You stay in control throughout. See the FAQ or book a free consultation.
- Free Patient Advocacy Consultation
- Share a short intake so we understand
- An independent advocate alongside you at every step
Step 1
Free Patient Advocacy Consultation
Click on Book your free consultation and send a date/time request for your consult. You will receive a confirmation once your request is approved.
This gives us the chance to understand your situation, identify where support is needed most, and recommend the best next step for you.
Step 2
Complete Your Intake Forms
Once your consult is confirmed you will receive a short intake form via email.
If you can not fill out a form online and need assistance, please call us.
Step 3
Receive Your Personalized Response
Once you have your free 15-minute consultation and your intake form is reviewed, you will be scheduled for an in-depth call with one of our nurses. During this comprehensive discussion, we will explore your/your loved ones’ medical history, personal goals, and any challenges you wish to address. A personalized advocacy plan will then be created around your questions, priorities, and support needs.
These are not automated plans. Every response is personalized and built around yourindividual questions and situation.
Step 4
Add Additional Support If Needed
If you need more help, additional support can be scheduled for an added fee. This may include virtual consultations, phone calls, or follow-up sessions.
Step 5
Continue With One-Time or Ongoing Support
From there, you can choose one-time services, live visit support, or a membership for ongoing guidance.
How Patient Advocacy Works in Practice.
From there the work is practical rather than theoretical. We read the actual notes. We come to the appointment. We call the office that has not called you back. We check that the medication list in the drawer matches the one the hospital sent. None of this is glamorous, and all of it is the difference between care that holds together and care that quietly falls apart.
You stay in control throughout. A good advocate increases your understanding, they do not replace it — you should always know what the plan is and why.
You can begin with a single session or ongoing support, and you can stop at any point. If you want to see what that first conversation involves, book a free 15-minute consultation. If you would rather read what other people ask first, the FAQ covers cost, insurance and what we can and cannot do.
